Weight Changes with Humidity
A CI microbalance can be used to measure the adsorption of water by materials at different relative humidities.
For this application, we manufacture the Cisorp Water Sorption Analyzer. This in an automatic system for the recording of water sorption isotherms and kinetic data on up to two samples simultaneously at temperatures between 10 and 80°C.

Weight Changes with Vapor Pressure
CI microbalances are used to measure the adsorption of water Vapor within or outside the above temperature range, as well as under vacuum or at raised pressure. The sorption of other Vapors can similarly be measured.
For this application, a known amount or concentration of the adsorbate Vapor is allowed to surround the sample under investigation, and the weight changes of the sample as a result of Vapor adsorption are recorded.
