Temperature Tests

with the Cisorp Water Sorption Analyser

Temperature Tests

In temperature tests, the temperature is changed during an experiment with or without simultaneous changes in the relative humidity.

Results can be used to distinguish physical from chemical interactions with water, to identify irreversible sample changes, and to calculate thermodynamic parameters of moisture sorption.

Features studied:

  • temperature-dependence of equilibrium water sorption
  • changes in water sorption kinetics as a result of changes in temperature
  • reversibility of water sorption
  • physical and chemical water sorption
  • thermodynamics of water sorption (isosteric enthalpy, heat of adsorption)
