Vacuum Microbalances

The DISBAL Control Unit is designed for use with the C I MK2-M5 and MK3 balance heads. It may be operated on its own or with an external personal computer via an RS 232 interface. Data is output to the computer at a sensitivity of 0.1µg.

The DISBAL contains a high precision 20 bit analogue to digital converter and a microprocessor which handles all tare, calibration and averaging of weight readings.

Thermocouples

The DISBAL has a thermocouple input for experiments monitoring temperature. Type K thermocouple is provided with 1200°C furnace; Type R thermocouple with 1600°C furnace.
